Why Luna?

Your Name:

Your Email:

Christine: I love Luna because she doesn't even seem to notice how weird she is. She doesn't care what other people think of her. She always has an optimistic attitude towards everything. She also helped Harry and Co. in the DoM. She gets all of her superstitions from the crazy Quibbler magazine. I expect that she'd do quite well in divination, because of all her superstitions! She's one of my favourite characters.

Alisha: I like her because she's so fun and random. She doesn't care what other people think about her which is good because a lot of people are so worried about that. She gets made fun of but I don't see why. I know if I ever met her, I'd want to be friends, not to mention she's really gullible and if she believes in something you can't convince her otherwise! Which is great because she sticks to what she believes in no matter what. She's definately someone to look up to.

Bailey Gilbert: She is very unique and supposedly doesn't care what others think about her and she is very inspiring because her outlook on life is so positive even though she has lost so much. It is wonderful that she is so willing to put her life on the line for a friend.

Lily: Luna is completely brillaint because she doesn't try to act like anyone else--just her. She is comfortable in her own skin and I strongly appreciate that. It's not like she has an ego or anything, she's just a girl who wants to be herself and doesn't take who she is for granted. Some people may think she's strange or loony, but she only does what she truly believes is right in HER mind. That's why I think Luna is an amazing and wonderfully true character. J.K. Rowling did a fantastic job with Luna's character. Way to go, Rowling! Way to go.

Sarah: Luna has to be the greatest female character in Harry Potter - maybe even the greatest character full stop.

ShaunC: I like her because she's so funny. Yes, people take the mickey out of her but I can see where Ron is coming from in book six because she does grow on you. She knows she is unique and different and she's proud of it, which makes her brave.

Lammii: I love Luna because she's not afraid to be herself. She's not afraid to do whatever, and yet she's brave. She's unique and you can't find anyone like her in Hogwarts. She always thinks on the brightside and keeps you laughing...in awkward ways.

Loony Tena: I love Luna because she is funny, weird, and brave. All my friends call me Loony like all the kids in Hogwarts call Luna. I'm proud of it because she is my favorite character! And she is a good friend and she likes to help Harry and Co. Luna rocks!

Nonia: The one thing that sets Luna apart from every other character in HP is everyones ability to relate to her. Not everyone has had the chance to play the hero, his side kick, the smart person, the role model, or the badguy, but everybody has been teased or disliked. Through her, people can see that it is possible to smile when the world frowns at you. My favorite event with Luna is when Harry takes her to Slughorn's party. Her excitement in that moment is hope to all the underdogs. I like Luna because she is herself, no matter what people say about her. I like her because she has feelings even though she doesn't always wear them right out. I've been in her shoes and I know what it feels like.

dxgeneratoin: I like her because she does not have a very charming face but has all the confidence a girl her age should have. She dares to speak all the rubbish articles written in the 'Quibbler' in front of all. And I think she is quite humorous.

dhruv: Luna is funny and a bit out of her mind. She always speaks rubbish and that makes me laugh. Luna would be a fun character to meet.

Alexandra: I love Luna because basically she reminds me of myself. I know that if I had blonde hair, I'd be the muggle version of Luna. Luna rocks our socks!

Claudia: Well, Luna is just fabulous! She's so different and that is what is so interesting about her. Just like what Evanna said, Luna is a breath of fresh air. I totally agree!

Ashley: Luna's the best! She gives off this faint sense of innocence, kind of like a young child because of all her crazy theories and the fact that she could nearly be considered gullible for believing all the stuff her father says in The Quibbler. Luna has the, these days, rare ability to do what she wants. She's just so unique, right down to her radish earrings, her Butterbeer cap necklace, and sticking her want behind her left ear.

Erin: I like Luna because she's so weird. She thinks outside the box and is honest, no matter what. She's brave and doesn't give a rat's tail what people think about her.

Niruja: Perceptive, imaginative, and creative, Luna has a great personality that stands out in the HP books. She sees to different points of view on the world. Her uniqueness and awkwardness makes her a gem in the crowds of arrogent people today.

Winnie: I love Luna because she is something different! She can say things that in your opinion sound wrong or funny but are fact to her. I also like her because her father has a magazine called the Quibbler. Whatever he publishes is so interesting and it's nice to see tat Luna believes in what he says. She repeats what he says as if what he writes is true and she says the strangest things without ever feeling embarassed. I would like to see more people like her-people who are not afraid to show others who they really are not matter what they might say in the end.

Crookshanks: I love Luna. She and Hermione are my two favorite characters. I love her because she's not afraid to tell the truth and she is not afraid to be herself. And each year in Harry Potter gets darker and when she comes in she just makes you happy or/and anything but sad. I'm an one of Luna's biggest fans!!

Eva: I love Luna...I'm totally obsessed with her. I love her because she is so honest and she's just herself. She doesn't care what other people think. Those are nice qualities for a person. She has her own opinion and beliefs...and that's very nice. She's not a wannabe chick. I love it when people believe weird things. She is a very strong girl (strong personality) Luna makes me smile. She is funny. Everytime when I see her name, I feel good. she is really my favorite and she will always be my favorite girl.

Lizzie: I love Luna because she's different and not ashamed of it. She might be a little strange, but she is a loyal friend. I like how she doesn't lash out at the people who steal her stuff; she just waits for the items to resurface and goes on with her life as though it hadn't happened. Luna Lovegood is a really good role model for me, and a funny character to read about.

Erin: Luna is.. what everyone else secretly wants to be; she's confident in herself, and doesn't let anyone else influence her beliefs. She's tactless, but in a good way-- Luna never bottles up her thoughts or feelings, which would make her a very easy person to talk to.

Nicole: Luna has always been one of my favorite characters for many reasons. She is so unique, crazy and just outright original. She puts her wand behind her ear, reads the Quibbler...etc. I honestly think that if JK Rowling thinks Evanna is perfect for the part of Luna, why doubt her? Jo has created that wonderful world of magic, and the characters. Luna is always a good character to look up to because she is so brave.

Noemi: I love Luna because she is so out there she really doesn't care what people think about her. I love her honesty, loyalty, and her bravery. She is such a great character and ligthens up the mood for most characters in the HP books, especially Harry.

Fleur: She's on her own orbit; distant and dreamy. And yet, though she's so far away from everything, she manages to perceive the world so much more clearly than all the others; she can see to the core of people and things and her blunt honesty destabilises Harry and his friends because they're used to a certain code of society of what can be said and what can't. Luna doesn't know or care about those rules; she is brutally raw, fresh, pure - there's nothing artificial about her.

Katy: She's the very rarely represented weird yet pretty girl. She deserves to be heard just like most of us spunky spontaneous girls. And she totally has the greatest personality. A true match for the hero of the series. Luna is the best in every way!

Keels: Luna Lovegood is my favorite character because she's unique. I don't think I've ever met anyone that is like her in anyway. I can't wait to see (well, read) what happens to her in the last installment of the series.

BaiSi: She's not afraid to be herself and doesn't worry what other people think. She's never embarrassed. She just...speaks her mind and she does excellent Quidditch commentary-way better than Smith....

Sammi: I love Luna because she is so funny and unique. She's different in her own special way and just so awesome. She's a little strange, but nice. She's just herself and doesn't seemt o care what anyone says. Luna just acts however she wants and makes me think she's doesn't know someone's there half the time. She just does her own thing. I bet if she had the chance, she would bust a move in front of the whole school.

Alyce: Luna is a pretty cool character. She has her own sense of fashion and she has her own opinions which I find kind of funny. I love her. She has many different things I would want in myself. She is also a good friend to Harry, Hermione, Ron, Neville, and Ginny. When they need her, she is always there so that's a good thing.

Sarah: I like Luna because of her originality. She sticks to the things she believes in even if the other people make fun of her.

Katie: I like her because whenever I read about her in the books 5 and 6, I just want to laugh out loud, in a good way. Luna doesn't really care what other people think about her. She pretty much likes to lighten up the mood and book five gets pretty dark and everyone is in a bad mood.

Tonya: I love Luna Lovegood because I can really relate to her actually. People think I'm weird for the way I am but it doesn't really both me much and that's the same way with Luna. I love how she's very carefree and smart at the same time. She's a fun character and very free.

Ashaya: I like Luna because she is what her name implies: Loony. She reminds me of myself and how in the craziest of times, we should all just be crazy!

Darcy: I love her because she serves as a brilliantly plotted comic relief to the last two books. She reminds me that no matter how dark the pages become of both Harry Potter and my own life, there's not need to take it all so seriously.

Sydney: I love Luna. She's happy with who she is and she doesn't care about what others think of her. She's so special and so amazing. I love her braveness and her kindness. She's not ashamed of who she is. Luna is truly a rolemodel, and the best character. I LOVE LUNA! :D

Anita: I think lunas really cool because shes something different that we haven't seen. She adds a new kind of humour to the book, which hasn't been exposed before, and she doesn't care what others think about her being strange and deluded. Also the stuff she comes out with is just pure class! LUNA ROCKS!!!!!

Kim: She's weird but you can tell that she thinks she's normal, like she's not aware of her weirdness so you know she's not putting on a show or anything which makes her even more unusual and awesomely awesome. I <3 you Lunaaa!:D
