The Moon
Name: Genesis
Story:
She wandered the halls of Hogwarts. She barely existed during the day, so she didn’t worry about being caught at night. She quietly made her way to the entrance, not making a sound, stepping as light as an angel.
Nobody had noticed the changes in her. No one was concerned. Just Loony Luna being weird as usual. Nothing to worry about.
She wasn’t crazy, in fact. Or rather she hadn’t been originally. She didn’t have any problems with doing her own thing, following her own beat, not “fitting in” with the other kids. She didn’t feel the need. She could be her own company.
But as the years went by… She became more aware. The stares. The whispers. She knew what people called her, what they thought. She needed an escape from the lies and deceits.
So she found a companion. She met her friend only at night. The confidante was invisible any other time.
Luna and the moon.
A good pair. The moon listened to her, never fought or teased. Just listened.
“I just wish I could stay with you, in the sky, forever.”
That night, that was all she wanted. More than anything else. Just to escape all the drama of life.
Peace.
No one noticed the next day when she didn’t show up to breakfast. No classes. It took several days before any one knew she was missing. They searched all over the grounds, but couldn’t find a trace.
Only one person knew where she had gone. Saw the clues.
Ginny saw the stars in the sky. The message they wrote.
I’m where I belong.
Circled around the moon.
Ginny smiled.
