Wednesday, July 13
Luna Lovegood was on vacation with her father in a Muggle town. She had been eating a bag of 'chips', a muggle food, when she stopped and stared at the chip she was holding. It had no cracks and it curved in all the right places flawlessly. This chip is going to mean something someday, she thought to herself. She drew her wand and uttered a silent incantation making the chip impossible to break. She put it in her bag.
Sunday, July 17
Luna Lovegood was sitting in an armchair knitting a cool blue scarf. She had chosen cool blue because she thought it refreshing. She was just finishing a row when a thought appeared. Why do I enchant a journal to record my thoughts in the third person? asked a voice in her head. Because you're unique! answered another. She returned to her knitting and started counting stitches.
Thursday, July 21
Luna Lovegood was sealing an envelope containing a letter to Albus Dumbledore. It said that he should try to persuade the Ministry to put a stop to the Rotfang Conspiracy. She did this frequently. She had enough melted wax on her envelope now. She stamped it with the Hogwarts coat of arms. Next, she tied it to her owl's leg and threw him out the window.
Tuesday, July 26
Luna Lovegood was pondering her existence when a small green bird landed on her head. It pecked at her head a few times then flew away. What a sweet litle bird, thought Luna.
Saturday, July 30
Luna Lovegood was looking out at the Muggle street. She saw a man in black throw a tall woman passing a dirty look, then stalk off and disappear into the crowd of people walking down the street. He's going to kill her, but she'll understand, thought Luna. She thinks she deserves it.
